KV NO. 1, Sagar established in the year 1964 was one of the first twenty Regimental Schools converted into Central School with Shri N. R. Limaye as its founder Principal. In its 45 years of existence the school has seen and gone through many changes. Today the city of Sagar has three KVs but for the first 30 years Central School Sagar as it was known then has served the people of the city and its children helping them become valuable citizens of this country and successful individuals in various fields.
Our Old Campus
In the year 1964 when this school was taken over by Central Schools Organization, New Delhi, it was housed in tents in the army compound adjacent to Military Hospital, Sagar. Later concrete structure was erected in place of the tents which housed classrooms and other departments like library, laboratory etc. The school was run in its old campus till the year 1975.
Our New Campus
In the year 1976 the new building of KV No. 1, Sagar was inaugurated by Shri Arvind Netam the then Education Minister of Govt. of India. The new campus has 36 classrooms , 3 computer laboratories, Science Labs, Library, Resource Rooms, Activity Rooms, Yoga Room , Music Room, SUPW Room etc. In sprawling campus in Sylvan surroundings the school boasts large play ground for a number of games.
